Shannon completed a 5 year program in Chinese Medicine in 2009 and holds a diploma of Doctor of Chinese Medicine from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver. Her studies include clinical practice at the China Medical University and Hospital in Taiwan. In 2014 Shannon also completed a 2 year Master’s Mentorship Program with Sharon Weizenbaun at the White Pine Institute. In 2020 she completed her certification in Great Turning Medicine with the White Pine Institute where she currently is a teacher’s assistant. Other major influences to Shannon’s practice include pulse diagnosis based on the Chinese Medicine Classics with mentorship from Nadine Zach and of Saam Acupuncture with mentorship from Toby Daly.
While Shannon’s interest in Chinese Medicine is wide ranging, her passion for women’s health has led her to pursue training in workshops by some of the leaders in Chinese Medicine for fertility and obstetrics including Sharon Weizenbaum, Debra Betts and Randine Lewis. Shannon was a partner in Acumamas for 6 years and has extensive hours of experience attending labours both as an acupuncturist as well as a birth doula. In 2019 Shannon taught BC’s Midwive’s certification course for Acupuncture in Labour and she traveled to Chiapis, Mexico in January 2020 to teach at the Luna Maya Birth Centre. Shannon currently sits on the board of the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association and works at the BC Women’s and Children’s Hospital as a contract acupuncturist for the Families In Recovery Unit (FIR).

My journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) began over a decade ago when I sought answers beyond conventional treatments for my own persistent health concerns. That experience ignited a deep passion for natural medicine and the belief that we should feel our best at any age.
I started my practice 10 years ago, dedicated to supporting women through every stage of life—balancing hormones, enhancing fertility, guiding prenatal and postpartum care, navigating menopause, and embracing graceful aging. My fascination with skin health and longevity has led me to explore the intersection of Eastern and Western approaches, integrating advanced skincare treatments with honoured wisdom.
Now, alongside acupuncture and herbal medicine, I offer Valmont facials and microneedling, blending TCM with scientifically backed skincare to enhance both inner and outer radiance. My goal is to help my patients look and feel vibrant, addressing health and beauty concerns with a holistic, personalized approach.
